          Renowned Scottish-Irish filmmaker and writer Mark Cousins joins for a lively and playful session.

          Mark is presenting his latest project, the 16 hour-long The Story of Documentary Film, at this year’s CPH:FORUM. In this talk you, can discover more about the project, as well as how Mark thinks about and works with the cinematic form. Make sure not to miss this session with the author of quintessential books Imagining Reality: The Faber Book of Documentary, The Story of Film and The Story of Looking.

          Mark Cousins

          Mark Cousins is a Scottish-Irish filmmaker and writer. His 24 feature length films - including The Story of Film: An Odyssey, The March on Rome, Atomic, The Eyes of Orson Welles, and Women Make Film - have won awards around the world, including the Prix Italia, a Peabody, the Stanley Kubrick Award, the European Film Academy Award for Innovative Storytelling, the Heart of Sarajevo and the Persistence of Vision award. Their themes are looking, cities, cinema, politics, childhood, and recovery. His books include Imagining Reality: The Faber Book of Documentary, The Story of Film and The Story of Looking. He is in post production on his 16 hour The Story of Documentary Film.
