Katherin Machalek

​​Katherin Machalek is a documentary filmmaker from NYC, now based in Copenhagen. She is known for directing WELCOME (CSAFF, 2021) and I WAS HERE FIRST (DOC NYC, UnionDocs 2015). Inspired by Chantal Akerman, her films examine the domestic realm, intergenerational feminism, and psychic inheritance.
