Joanna Krawczyk
Joanna Krawczyk is the Director of CORRECTIV.Europe at CORRECTIV – an award-winning, non-profit investigative newsroom in Germany dedicated to strengthening democracy through journalism, media education, and technology. CORRECTIV successfully develops its community-first newsroom and business models, and equips journalists with tools and methodologies to engage their communities. CORRECTIV’s European division supports a network of more than 400 local media outlets and content creators across 35 countries. Previously, Joanna served as Deputy Director East at the German Marshall Fund of the United States, focusing on media development in the region, and as Head of the Ukrainian Media Fund. She was also Partnerships Director at Gazeta Wyborcza, Poland’s largest legacy newspaper, where she founded its Foundation and launched the country’s first investigative grant and local media support programs. Joanna chaired the Leading European Newspaper Alliance (LENA) and currently serves on the boards of the European Media and Information Fund and Journalismfund.
