              Join DISCO Network's Independence Project presentation & workshop, advocating for independent documentaries' role in culture, society, and democracy.

              On Monday, 18 March, the DISCO Network (Ambulante, AFLAMUNA, DocsMX, Doc Society, DocSP, Docubox, In-Docs, and India Docs) will be presenting and workshopping the Independence Project – a special project working to articulate the unique importance of independent documentaries to culture, society and democracy. Join us in this co-creation to help all of us advocate for the resources and platforms we deserve.

              Beadie Finzi

              Beadie Finzi is one of the co-directors of Doc Society - an innovative non-profit that works to resource inspiring independent filmmakers all over the world. Beyond the right of artists to self-expression we are also focused on the right of all citizens to access media in in the public interest.

              Jad Abi-Khalil

              Jad Abi-Khalil, a devoted contributor to the Arab film industry, has actively produced and directed documentaries since 2000. As a member of AFLAMUNA (formerly known as Beirut DC), a cultural association for Arab Cinema, he has held several key positions and has been the executive director since 2021.
