          Akademeet: The Composers

          16:00 - 17:30 Saturday 14th Mar 2026 / 90 min

The Danish Film Academy invites you to the first edition of Akademeet – a new professional and social event series that brings the industry together and highlights the crafts behind Danish film and television, with particular attention to the professional groups often found outside the spotlight, but deserve a place on the main stage.

Today’s focus is on the work of composers. Johan Albrechtsen, editor at Moovy.dk and host on SoundTREK on DR2, will moderate a conversation with three of this year’s Robert-nominated composers: Josefine Skov, Jeppe Kaas, and Frederikke Hoffmeier, discussing the creative process behind their works.

Josefine Skov was nominated for a Robert Award for her score for the award-winning children’s film Mira, and previously received a Robert Award in 2025 for her score for the horror film Mulm.

Jeppe Kaas has worked as a film composer for nearly 40 years and is behind a wide range of iconic scores. Most recently, he was nominated for a Robert for his score for The Last Viking.

Frederikke Hoffmeier, also known by her artist name Puce Mary, works with experimental music as well as film composition, and most recently received the Robert Award 2026 for her score for The Girl with the Needle.

Following the conversation, To Øl will be serving refreshments.

The Danish Film Academy works to celebrate Danish film and television and to strengthen networks across the industry. With Akademeet, we are creating a shared space where we can gather around our craft, inspire one another, and give space to the Robert nominees who are the driving forces behind the scenes.

This event is open to all accredited guests and members of the Danish Film Academy. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

Kaas had his debut as a film composer in 1988 and his first composer job on a feature film was ‘Kærlighed ved første hik’ in 1999. He has since then primarily made a living as a film composer and is behind a long list of iconic scores. Most recently, he was nominated for a Robert Award in 2026 for his score for ‘The Last Viking’.
