          Sasha Kulak

          Sasha Kulak, is a director from Vitebsk, Belarus. Sasha's films focus on the thin layers of reality — from Mexican Mennonites (Salamanca, 2015) to a US mining town (Quicksilver Chronicles, 2019) and the Belarusian protests (Mara, 2022). Her latest film is “A Hawk as Big as a Horse".; Sasha Kulak, is a multi-awarded filmmaker who's view focuses on the thin layers of reality. Her films have taken her to communities all over the world whether it be the Mexican mennonites (Salamanca), an abandoned mining town in the USA (Quicksilver Chronicles) or the Belarusian protests of 2020 (Mara). Her latest film “A hawk as big as a horse” won a special mention at Dok Leipzig in 22.
