          Join us for a dynamic networking activity designed to connect this year’s INTRO:DOX participants and create opportunities for long-lasting collaborations. This special gathering will feature a focus on pitching in early production with John English, director, producer, and emerging talent developer at OTOXO Productions (ES), as well as an in-depth discussion on U.S. financing with Tracie Holder, filmmaker, producer, and U.S. film funding specialist at Means of Production Films (US). 

          INTRO:DOX events will take place on March 23, 10:00-18:30 at Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Nyhavn 2 and March 24, 10:00-15:30 at Odd Fellow Palace (Kings Hall & Concert Hall), Bredgade 28. 

          Accessible to INTRO:DOX accreditations and pre-invited Financiers & Industry Representatives.

          Speakers

          John English

          John is the founder of multi-award winning OTOXO Productions. Creating films for the likes of The Guardian, TV3, RakutenTV, El Pais, & BTV. He recently directed the feature doc, Unbound, which had premieres at DocsBarcelona, FIPADOC, ReFrame, won the Jury Prize at Central Scotland Doc Fest, & is distributed by Journeyman Pictures. Beyond directing, he is also a producer with emerging talents, such as Carina Haouchine on her debut feature, Dungeon Masterhood (ScreenScotland), & Priya Woods on her upcoming feature Still, Life (Best Short, DocsBarcelona). Through OTOXO’s ‘INto INdustry’ programme, John leads a team that gives young directors creative & professional training to help them become industry professionals in their own right. The programme partners with Sheffield DocFest.

          Tracie Holder

          Tracie Holder is a filmmaker, producer and film funding specialist. She leads workshops, tutors and serves on juries at international pitching and training sessions. Holder is widely regarded as a “go-to” person for filmmakers seeking funding having raised more than $3 million in grants for her own projects. Clients include: Ramallah Docs, IDFA, Sheffield Doc Fest, Firelight Media, DOC NYC, Creative Capital, Chicken & Egg, Black Public Media, and Unions Docs, among others. Holder was a longtime consultant to Women Make Movies, Development/Funding Strategist for Abby Disney’s Fork Films and former board member of NY Women in Film. She co-directed/produced Joe Papp in Five Acts, (Tribeca Film Festival, PBS/American Masters). Producing credits include Grit, (Hot Docs/POV), Small Town Universe and Give It a Shot, in production. Holder was recently named an industry envoy on behalf of the American Film Showcase, a program of international cultural diplomacy run by U.S. State Department.
