+ Debate: The paradox of sustainable palm oil production

Can we even talk about sustainable palm oil production? Is it possible to work for better nature conservation and at the same time co-operate with palm oil producers? Are there alternatives to palm oil? And what do local people think about the production? Welcome to a debate between chairman of the Danish Nature Foundation and the Animal Ethics Council, Bengt Holst (former zoological director at ZOO), consultant and expert in land use and rights, Nanna Brendholdt Thomsen (former chairman of World Forests), tropical biologist, Ida Theilade and chief consultant in the Global Development and Sustainability department, Danish Industry, Sven Pedersen.
Language: Danish

Copenhagen Zoo is partnering with a palm oil plantation in Borneo to shift production in a sustainable direction.
