          SCIENCE:CINEMA

If you are passionate about science, technology, climate, and nature, you can look forward to three mind-bending days at CPH:DOX's science stage, which this year moves into the heart of Nørrebro and unfolds at Nørrebro Theater.

Our SCIENCE:CINEMA is three days of films and debates dedicated to science. We open the stage on March 13 at 20.00 with the Danish documentary ‘Menopause Mystery’ which delves deeply into the under-researched topic of menopause.

You can also come down into the core of the CERN reactor, into the recesses of our brains through dreams, dementia, and cognition, rush around caves and caverns, and all the way out to the corners of the universe. On Saturday, March 14, you can watch the film ‘Jason’s Box’ and meet the film’s protagonist, glaciologist Jason Box, as we talk about climate research in Greenland, the climate struggle in 2026, and civil disobedience as the last line of defense.

And on Sunday, March 15, we will show films that celebrate transnational cooperation. With the films ‘Intelligence Rising’ and ‘Techplomacy’, you can learn more about the democratic processes that are challenged every day by the development of artificial intelligence, but also get answers to how researchers, politicians, and other professionals are fighting for a better digital future. Or you can watch ‘The Peace Particle’, which celebrates science and its ability to bring nations together.

The SCIENCE program at CPH:DOX is presented in collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters, Videnskab.dk, DDSA, and made possible by the Lundbeck Foundation, the Leo Foundation, and the Novo Nordisk Foundation.

          14:00

Meet the director of 'Intelligence Rising' Elena Andreicheva, together with author and adviser at Pentagon Nicholas Wright, in a conversation about how we make big decisions in times of war and how AI will impact geopolitical decision making.

          17:00

Meet Denmark's tech ambassador, Anne Marie Engtoft Meldgaard, in conversation with doctor and author Imran Rashid about their work to ensure a better digital future for us all.
