After a screening of 'The Tingbjerg Experiment', we talk about local neighbourhoods and gentrification.
Join us for the very first CPH:DOX film screening at Kulturhuset BRØK!
We will be showing the film ‘The Tingbjerg Experiment’ by Louise Detlefsen, followed by a panel discussion about the Tingbjerg experiment. Brønshøj-Husum is home to both villa areas, terraced houses, and large public housing estates side by side. But what happens when a neighborhood changes? How is urban development experienced from the inside? The film screening at the community center BRØK opens up local conversations about life in a neighborhood in transition.
‘The Tingbjerg Experiment ‘is a portrait of a neighborhood in transition. A documentary portrait that, through a series of character-driven narratives, looks beyond the prejudices surrounding one of Copenhagen’s most notorious neighborhoods. No one knows what this process will lead to.
The goal is clear: to combat parallel societies by creating a more mixed group of residents. But can this controversial method create better integration, social cohesion, and community across social and cultural differences?
