Democracy vs. Big Tech: The Battle for Our Digital Future

TechPlomacy, the diplomacy of technology. In our highly digitized world, it is a foreign and security policy priority to ensure that democratic values are also upheld behind the screen. It is Anne Marie Engtoft Meldgaard’s job as Denmark’s first Tech Ambassador to engage in dialogue with the global tech industry on behalf of Denmark and ensure that our democratic values and worldviews, continue into the digital part of our lives. But it is much easier said than done, to introduce rules and guidelines for the most powerful companies in the world.
