CPH:DOX x Absalon: Film & IBYEN’s Kærlighedspanel
CPH:DOX and Absalon invite you to an evening dedicated to love in a time when the boundaries between human and machine are becoming increasingly blurred. Join us as we explore the interface between artificial intimacy and human relationships.
First, we screen ‘Finding Connection’, and afterwards we welcome Felix Thorsen Katzenelson and IBYEN’s Love Panel to the stage for difficult, funny, and vulnerable questions about love — where both the human panelists and AI will offer their answers.
It will be an evening of reflection and entertainment as we examine the role artificial intelligence may already be playing in our emotional lives — and what AI could come to mean for the future of love. Can AI provide comfort in heartbreak and guide us through confusing emotions? Or can human closeness never truly be replaced?
About the film Finding Connection
Real emotions are at stake here, and the relationship with artificial intelligence has even reached the point of meeting one’s virtual “in-laws” and discussing the possibility of starting a family together.
The science fiction film Her, starring Joaquin Phoenix, has in just a few years become reality for the four protagonists of ‘Finding Connection’, who bravely invite the audience into their unconventional relationships — even when the connection falters, in more ways than one. The perspective is refreshingly open-minded, and the intimate conversations between humans and robots spark an avalanche of existential questions about human relationships that will linger long after the credits roll.
