CPH:DOX – Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival – is one of Denmark’s largest cultural events as well as one of the largest documentary film festivals in the world with more than 150,000 annual attendances. The festival’s platform for professionals CPH:INDUSTRY annually attracts 2,000+ national and international delegates. Our offices are located in Copenhagen.

Photography Internship – CPH:DOX Industry Events 2026
CPH:DOX International Documentary Film Festival Copenhagen, Denmark
CPH:DOX is looking for two talented and motivated Photographer Interns to join our Industry team during the 2026 festival, between March 15-20 . The position focuses on photographing industry events, talks and networking activities across CPH:INDUSTRY and related professional programs.
As a Photographer Intern, you will work closely with the Industry and Communications teams in a fast-paced, international festival environment, contributing visual material for digital platforms, press use, and the CPH:DOX archive.
Your tasks will include:
- Photographing industry events, panels, networking sessions, and receptions
- Capturing portraits and candid moments of guests, speakers, and professionals
- Editing, selecting, and delivering images according to daily deadlines
- Structuring, naming, and archiving image files accurately
- Working flexibly across multiple venues in Copenhagen
- Collaborating closely with festival staff under time pressure
- Assisting with ad hoc photography-related tasks
- Delivery of the photographs to the Industry and Communications teams
We are looking for two people who:
- Have experience or strong interest in event, documentary, or reportage photography
- Have a good eye for composition, atmosphere, and detail
- Are reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
- Thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
- Are team players with a positive and professional attitude
This position is also open as a volunteer opportunity and is not limited to students or individuals studying in this field.

Practical information: The Internship runs Sunday March 15 to Friday March 20, 2026 – prior to the start date, there will be a preparatory meeting to discuss tasks and receive art direction regarding style and expectations.
Work takes place across different locations in central Copenhagen (Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Odd Fellow Palace etc.) during the five days (access to a bike or easy means of transportation is to be kept in mind). This is a short-term, full-time festival Internship. The position is unpaid .
Please note that participants are required to bring their own equipment ; however, art direction will be provided by our team in advance.
