Pre-arranged roundtables for delegation members with invited decision makers and experts will take place on Wednesday 20, 13:40-17:40 (Lounges) at Odd Fellow Palace, Bredgade 28, 1260 Copenhagen K.

Mette Hoffmann Meyer

Mette Hoffmann Meyer is an award-winning Danish producer. She is the CEO and Founder of THE WHY Foundation in Copenhagen, and was previously head of documentaries and co-productions at Denmark’s public service broadcasting cooperation DR. She has worked on a number of award winning films, including Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer, Maid in Hell and Stealing Africa to mention a few. She holds two Oscars, a Peabody, a Grierson and an Emmy to her name and has produced a number of other Oscar nominated films. She also won a Doc Mogul award for supporting young filmmakers. Mette has been a jury member for IDFA, Sundance, Emmy, Women in Film, One World Film and the Danish Television Festival.

Martin Pieper

Worked from 2000-2023 as commissioning editor resp. head of the departments "culture&science", "thema", "current affairs & contemporary history" at ZDF/ARTE. Since Nov. 23 int. Producer at Gebrueder Beetz.

Sabine Lange

Sabine Lange is a commissioning editor,for the Culture department of ARTEs headquarter in Strasbourg. She is in charge of “La Lucarne”, dedicated to creative documentary. Latest productions: “Apolonia Apolonia” (Lea Glob), “We will not fade away" (Alisa Kovalenko).

Kathryn Bonnici

Kathryn has worked in documentary distribution since 2002. At Java, her responsibilities include developing and sourcing documentaries from independent producers, heading the feature documentaries & development department and handling pre-sales.

Megan Gelstein

Megan Gelstein is the Chief Program Officer of Catapult Film Fund. Catapult is dedicated to supporting nonfiction filmmakers with critical early stage funding and mentorship to launch distinctive, story-driven, and cinematic films. 

Amanda Lebow

Amanda Lebow is the head of the documentary film in the Motion Picture Media Finance department at the leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Lebow works in the Los Angeles office, where she represents directors and producers and sells documentary films and series.

Lindsay Poulton

Lindsay is Head of Documentaries at The Guardian where she commissions and curates the Guardian's documentary strand including the Oscar-winning Colette and BAFTA-winning The Black Cop.

Marcella Jelic

Mehdi Bekkar

Mehdi Bekkar, Senior Producer at Al Jazeera Documentary Channel, has significantly contributed to supervising various documentary productions across different themes in collaboration with the production team. Additionally, he has directed several documentary films.

Esther van Messel

Esther van Messel, born 1965 in Vienna, is based in Zurich and holds a BfA from the Tel Aviv University. Since 1998, she runs FIRST HAND FILMS for production, global sales, and theatrical distribution. Her passion is for quality and equity, and for a sustainable way of life and work.

Jenny Raskin

Jenny Raskin is the Executive Director of Impact Partners, a fund dedicated to supporting independent documentary films that entertain audiences, engage with pressing social issues, and propel the art of cinema forward.

Lea Maria Strandbæk Sørensen

Lea is the Head of Industry at Nordisk Panorama. Our main event Nordisk Panorama Film Festival presents the best Nordic shorts & docs and gathers the Nordic film community for a 6-day festival with quality films, seminars, workshops, parties and not least the industry events NP Market and NP Forum.

Nadja Tennstedt

Nadja Tennstedt is director of DOK Industry at DOK Leipzig. Nadja held positions in marketing, sales and acquisitions at US distributors Zeitgeist Films and Milestone. After her return to Europe she worked for international film festivals and markets such as the Locarno Film Festival and Berlinale.

Malikkah Rollins

Malikkah is the Director of Industry and Education at DOC NYC, the largest doc film festival in the United States. She's a co-founder of DocuMentality, an initiative focused on advancing discussions and offering consultations about mental health within the global documentary industry.

John Turner

John Turner is SVP & Head of Documentaries for IMAX Entertainment where he oversees the development of documentary films and non-fiction content for the IMAX global network. Prior to IMAX, he was a Development Consultant with Netflix Documentary Features and was creator of the series, Dirty Money.

Mathilde Kirstein

Mathilde Kirstein is the producer of THE WHY Foundation's continuous series Why Stories. She has a huge passion for documentary films which goes along with her professional work. At the festival, she will be looking out for films that can become a part of Why Stories in the future.

Emma Hindley

Emma joined Storyville as Strand Editor in February 2023. Emma has worked in documentaries for 25 years as a film editor, director, executive producer and most recently she was Creative Director at internationally renowned independent production company, Brook Lapping.
