              ‘Elsewhere in India’ is an audiovisual electronica performance about a future world where global cultures are nearing extinction. We follow a motley crew in the year 2079 as they face the dystopian cultural consequences of unbridled technological growth.

              ‘Elsewhere in India’ ft Murthovic & Thiruda (Live) is an internationally touring, audiovisual electronica performance about a future world where global cultures are nearing extinction. We follow a motley crew that connects heritage, science and society in an anthology of stories from future India composed from video games, AI art and classical dance performance.

              The project was seeded by British Council’s India/UK Season of Culture 2022-23, and
              pioneers Indofuturism in world building thru next-gen characters and electro-classical
              dance music.

              Elsewhere in India is a narrative about conserving lost artefacts of traditional culture, and follows Meenakshi, an out-of-work cyborg built for preservation work.

              About the artists

              Murthovic is an electronic music composer, and producer of the acclaimed electro-classical dance opera Antariksha Sanchar. Thiruda is an acclaimed media artist, creative director and curator who specialises in creating immersive experiences for electronic music.
