Alle os og siloen
Carina Randløv / Denmark / 2026 / World Premiere / 78 min
In a small Danish town, a large new art project aims to put the town on the map and boost the entire municipality of Guldborgsund.
At the harbor in the small town of Stubbekøbing stands an abandoned grain silo that has divided the town in two for years. Some see it as an ugly relic of the past, while others see opportunities for the future. When a group of artists and cultural entrepreneurs propose transforming the silo into an artistic landmark instead of tearing it down, a discussion arises about different dreams for the town’s future – and different views on what art actually is and who it is for.
Carina Randløv has made a warm and subtle documentary about unity, change, and the courage to see something new in the old. The film follows how creative enthusiasts – each with their own voice and from their own perspective – try to breathe life into a city where empty shops and grand visions exist side by side and where contemporary art opens up a new perspective on what growth and value really are. It is a story about art, life, the country, and the city—and about the places in the so-called periphery which are fighting for the right to redefine themselves.
