Statens Museum for Kunst

Sølvgade 48-50, 1307 København K

Directions

Public transport: The National Gallery of Denmark is located in the heart of Copenhagen, and it is easy to reach by public transport. There are metro and S-train services to both Østerport and Nørreport, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from both stations.

Parking: There are various parking options for SMK, but none located on the premises. We would, therefore, like to draw attention to the parking regulations for Copenhagen V.

To access the handicap parking spaces in front of the museum, please use the entrance from Østre Voldgade. Use the intercom to gain access to the parking spaces. When you wish to leave the museum, please use the exit at Sølvgade. Drive slowly towards the bollard, which is automatically lowered.

Accessibility Guide

The entire museum is accessible with both electric and manual wheelchairs.

There is also the option to borrow manual wheelchairs and canes at the museum, available at the guard station in the foyer. Note: The museum’s wheelchairs cannot be reserved.

Wheelchair access can be made through the group entrance to the left of the stairs leading to the main entrance. Need assistance to open the door? Continue around the courtyard to the left. On the right side, you will find a button for assistance. Handicap toilets are located in the museum’s basement in both the new and old buildings.

The chairs are 50 cm wide.

Companion: Of course, CPH:DOX has a companion arrangement, so you can bring a companion for free to your desired screening. If you want a companion seat, just contact tickets@cphdox.dk.

A love triangle of jealousy in the Parisian art scene of the 1930s is brought to life in a stylish docufiction about iconic artist and architect Eileen Gray, who built her modernist dream house on the Riviera, only to be upstaged by Le Corbusier.
