Directions

The Cisterns are located in Søndermarken, opposite Frederiksberg Palace.

Public transport: The easiest way to access the Cisterns is by bus, either route 7A or 4A.

Parking: There are good parking options at the Cisterns on Q-Parks parking spaces at the Zoo, just a 5-minute walk away. Bicycle parking is preferably outside Søndermarken, as cycling is not allowed in Søndermarken.

Accessibility Guide

The venue is not accessible for wheelchair users.

Accessible Floors: All floors at the venue are not accessible. 

Accessible Restrooms: There are no accessible restrooms in the venue. 

Further information: Those with walking difficulties should be aware that access is only possible via a concrete staircase. Inside, an uneven concrete floor awaits, which can be challenging to move on, with areas of puddles or walkways and metal grates over water surfaces. The lighting is often very sparse, which can make the experience challenging for those with limited vision. Due to the nature of the exhibition, we recommend that all visitors wear flat shoes.

Companion:
All cinemas participating in CPH:DOX offer a companion policy. This means that a person with a disability who requires assistance can bring a companion free of charge upon presentation of a valid companion card. Companions must be at least 14 years old, as recommended by the Danish Disability Organizations.
If you have purchased a wheelchair-accessible ticket, the companion seat is automatically included.
If you have a disability requiring a companion but do not need a wheelchair, we recommend purchasing two tickets and then submitting the Companion Form to receive a refund for the companion ticket.
