          One in a Million

          Itab Azzam & Jack MacInnes / United Kingdom & Germany / 2026 / 103 min

+ When fleeing becomes a narrative

After the screening, Rahima Abdullah from DFUNK's Storytelling Network will take the floor and talk about her journey across the Mediterranean to Denmark. Although it was her father who made the perilous journey, Rahima feels that the experience has also left its mark on her – something she notices every time she steps out into the open sea. She will read a personal poem and share her reflections on what she recognises in Isra'a's story, as well as on the part of her own story that is entirely her own. The screening is presented in collaboration with DFUNK – Danish Refugee Council Youth.
Language: The presentation will be in Danish.

Ten years in the life of an extraordinary young girl, from her escape from Syria to Germany with her family, where she grows up and becomes a young woman. A captivating film about exile, hope and dreams.
