Intern for CPH:DOX’s nationwide festival, DOX:DANMARK
As an intern at DOX:DANMARK, you will be part of a team working to create engaging film experiences throughout Denmark.
DOX:DANMARK is a nationwide part of the documentary film festival CPH:DOX, which in 2025 was held in 54 municipalities across the country. The project is growing year by year and plays an increasingly important role in the festival’s ambition to bring documentary films to a wide audience.
Each municipality gets its own film festival – such as ÆRØ:DOX or HORSENS:DOX – created in close collaboration between CPH:DOX and local cultural actors. In 2025, over 25,000 people participated in DOX:DANMARK. Young and old, from cities and rural areas.
As an intern at DOX:DANMARK, you will be part of a team working to create engaging film experiences throughout Denmark. Your role will be tailored to your skills and interests, but you will have the opportunity to work in the following areas:
- Event development: Planning and organizing events in connection with film screenings – e.g., debates, director visits, talks, workshops, or other formats that put the films into perspective
- Outreach: Contacting relevant groups, associations, and organizations in the municipalities to ensure that the films reach the right audiences
- Coordination and collaboration: Dialogue with local cultural institutions about film screenings and related events
- Communication: Idea development and sparring with CPH:DOX’s communication team about how to promote local press stories.
We are looking for someone who is curious, proactive, and eager to learn new things. You don’t need to have experience with all the tasks—the most important thing is that you have the courage to take on new challenges and take responsibility. Since all communication with schools is in Danish, good Danish language skills are a requirement.
As part of the DOX:DANMARK team, you will be part of CPH:DOX’s program department and a team of 3-4 people. You will be responsible for your own tasks and have ample opportunity to influence the work with your ideas.
We offer a creative and informal working environment in the heart of Kødbyen, where we value collaboration, professional development, and social interaction.
We look forward to receiving your application. Send your application and CV to Head of DOX:DANMARK, Adam Thorsmark, at adam@cphdox.dk. We are conducting interviews on an ongoing basis.
Flexible internship period: Start in December or by agreement.
