Opening of the digital festival – Stream sneak preview of seductive deep-sea doc with panel discussion

Together with our SCIENCE partners Netcompany and the National Museum of Denmark, we mark the opening of CPH:DOX's digital festival on Thursday, March 27 at 20:00 with a very special event dedicated to one of the new, important frontiers of the climate fight: the deep sea. And as something completely new, everyone in Denmark can experience the event, as the evening's film, the seductive deep-sea doc 'How Deep is Your Love', can be rented on our streaming service PARA:DOX from 19:00, while the following debate will be livestreamed for free from 21:45. So put on your red Cousteau cap and experience the fascinating yet endangered nature of the deep sea from the comfort of your couch.

Deep sea mines from a research perspective / Completely sold out event at the National Museum of Denmark can be experienced at home

Tickets for this year’s CPH:DOX are in high demand – also for the end of our SCIENCE:CINEMA, which is completely sold out. First we see the sensuous, intelligent science film ‘How Deep is Your Love’ about the work of a group of intrepid biologists mapping the mysterious wildlife at the bottom of the ocean.

This will be followed by a panel discussion on deep-sea ecosystems, the impact of deep-sea mining on the climate and the potential role of minerals in the green transition with deep-sea researcher Julia M. Otte, marine archaeologist Andreas Kallmeyer Bloch and PhD fellow in environmental anthropology Fine Brendtner.

Didn’t manage to get tickets either? Fear not! You can experience the entire event from the comfort of your couch through our streaming service PARA:DOX.

Watch the movie digitally and livestream the debate

Starting tomorrow, Thursday, March 27 at 19:00, you can rent ‘How Deep is Your Love’ on PARA:DOX. The following debate can be livestreamed for free on the streaming service from approx. 21:45. Both ‘How Deep is Your Love’ and the link to the livestream will appear on the PARA:DOX front page from 19:00 tomorrow, where you can also explore the program of more than 150 films – which can only be viewed from Friday 28/03 at 09:00 where the festival starts.

And remember: As a KLUB:DOX member, you can watch as many films as you want at PARA:DOX, including of course ‘How Deep is Your Love’.

So put on your red Cousteau cap and experience the fascinating yet endangered deep-sea nature from the comfort of your couch.

Many thanks to our partners at SCIENCE:CINEMA: The National Museum of Denmark, Netcompany, the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Leo Foundation.
