Meet Twiggy and Warren Ellis at CPH:DOX 2025

We are thrilled to announce that both fashion icon Twiggy and star musician Warren Ellis will be coming to Copenhagen with premieres of their respective documentary films during this year's festival.

From March 19-30, 2025, CPH:DOX will bring to Copenhagen over 200 films, talks, debates, art exhibitions, and more —all centered around documentary film. As the third-largest festival of its kind globally and with over 20 years of history, CPH:DOX has become a favorite destination for international stars. Today, the festival unveils the first two names featured in upcoming documentaries and who audiences can meet at CPH:DOX 2025.

Twiggy – an icon across generations

For the first time ever, Twiggy—the world’s first supermodel—tells her own story. In the personal and star-studded documentary TWIGGY, which will have its Danish premiere at CPH:DOX 2025, audiences will explore the life of the slender, androgynous woman who became a global sensation and redefined 1960s fashion. Directed by Sadie Frost, the documentary features Twiggy herself along with Dustin Hoffman, Brooke Shields, and Paul McCartney, among others.

On March 25 at Bremen Teater, audiences will have the chance to take part in a special live event as CPH:DOX presents a conversation with Twiggy herself and the film’s director, Sadie Frost after the film screening.

“Dame Twiggy is an icon both for those who were part of the Swinging Sixties themselves, and for a younger generation who know her best as a judge on the millennial phenomenon ‘Top Model.’ We are incredibly proud to welcome her to CPH:DOX 2025,” says Marie Erbs Ørbæk, Head of Live Events at CPH:DOX.

Warren Ellis – screening and mini concert

Multi-instrumentalist Warren Ellis has left an indelible mark on the music scene over the past three decades, as a solo artist, a member of The Dirty Three, and Nick Cave’s longtime collaborator. But far from the world’s biggest stages, he has poured his passion into a very different project, which is explored in the documentary ELLIS PARK. Alongside animal rights activist Femke den Haas, Ellis has created an animal sanctuary deep in the jungles of Sumatra, rescuing and rehabilitating abused animals.

On March 26 at Bremen Teater, Warren Ellis will join audiences in Denmark for a conversation about the themes of the documentary, followed by an exclusive mini concert featuring his signature violin.

“Just two months ago, I was mesmerized by Warren Ellis during one of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds’ concerts at Royal Arena. If you think Nick Cave has sounded better than ever on his recent albums, you can thank Ellis, his close collaborator. At the same time, Ellis has a heart of gold when it comes to caring for our friends in the animal kingdom. We’re thrilled to present ELLIS PARK and welcome him to the intimate setting of Bremen Teater,” says Adam Thorsmark, Head of the Music Program at CPH:DOX.
