‘The Nicest Men on Earth’ + Panel debate: Masculinity in flux

After the screening of 'The Nicest Men on Earth', we debate masculinity when two debaters from SAGA meet and a gender equality researcher nuances the topic.

In a time when nuance is often lost in debate, and ideological divides continue to grow, it is more important than ever to engage in conversations across opinions, backgrounds, and beliefs. That is why, in collaboration with SAGA, Denmark’s non-partisan youth organization, we invite you to a series of events where we explore some of today’s most pressing dilemmas—through selected films from this year’s festival.

This time, we turn our focus to masculinity in transition. What does masculinity look like today, and how are traditional notions of gender and identity being challenged? Following the screening of The World’s Sweetest Men, we will explore how sensitive men navigate a world where gender and identity are in constant negotiation—and what this means for themselves and the society around them. The debate is facilitated by Magnus Georg Jensen and Jeppe Ask Tofteskov from SAGA, with additional insights from a gender equality expert.

Together, we create a space for new perspectives, sharp arguments—and most importantly: the acceptance of disagreement.
