The Future of the Internet
After The End of The Internet, we will debate the future of the internet as two debaters from the youth movement SAGA meet, and an expert adds nuance to the discussion.
In a time when nuance is often lost in debate, and opposing sides move further and further apart, it is more important than ever to engage in conversations across different opinions, backgrounds, and beliefs. That is why, in collaboration with SAGA, Denmark’s nonpartisan youth organization, we are hosting a series of events that explore some of today’s most pressing dilemmas—using selected films from this year’s festival as a starting point.
This time, we focus on the future of the internet. What direction is the internet heading in? Who holds power over digital platforms? And can we maintain a free and open internet in an era dominated by tech giants, misinformation, and regulation?
Following the screening of The End of The Internet, Zoumer and Piriya Sureshkumar, two debaters from SAGA, will engage in a lively discussion, while an expert will add depth to the conversation by providing insights into the technological, political, and social challenges we face. Together, we create a space for new perspectives, sharp arguments—and most importantly, the acceptance of disagreement.
