          Syria Post-Assad

When freedom finally arrives, how do you begin to live with it? Join us in conversation with Syrian-Danish journalist Solaf Massoud and Haifaa Awad, chairwoman of Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, doctor, and activist for a discussion about hope, uncertainty, and the long road forward. Moderated by Nagieb Khaja, award winning journalist.

‘Killing Anna’ investigates some of the atrocities committed by Assad’s forces. After the screening, we will delve into where Syria stands after the fall of Assad’s regime. After 53 years under the Assad dynasty, Syria may finally be able to breathe again. But what does that moment truly mean? This conversation offers insight into the current political landscape in Syria and explores how Syrians envision their future after a war that fractured the country on countless levels. Is reconciliation possible after so much loss, division, and displacement?
