Stefan Kruse: A Lack of Clarity (book launch + film screening)
From heat to data by way of thermal imaging, to the cinematic and now as ink on paper. Stefan Kruse’s ‘A Lack of Clarity’ presents an alternate view into the social control mechanisms and evolving digital technologies that face an expanding field of what is visible (and controllable) in the contemporary city. ‘A Lack of Clarity’, designed and edited by Nilas Andersen and Matt Wolff in close collaboration with Kruse, includes 200+ stills from the film (2020), as well as essays by Rémi Lauvin and co-founder of the Harun Farocki Institute Volker Pantenburg. We celebrate the Danish release of Kruse’s book with a reception and a screening.
