          Safe Space and Self Expression

After a screening of 'KitKatClub - Kinks of Berlin', we invite you to a conversation about Safe Space and Self Expression, with a particular focus on how these concepts are practiced in nightlife.

KitKat Club is known as one of Berlin’s most iconic techno clubs and as a space where bodily expression, freedom, and community challenge norms and boundaries. Using the film as a point of departure, we open up a discussion about what it means to create safe spaces for self-expression, how boundaries are negotiated within club culture, and what role nightlife can play as a zone of freedom in a time of increasing control and commercialization. The conversation explores both ideals and lived practices — and the dilemmas that arise when freedom and safety are required to coexist.

The evening will continue at BRUS for the CPH:DOX Final Party.

This conversation will be in English.
