          Performance: MINDESMÆRKE

When CPH:DOX opens its doors to a brand new Social Cinema, designed based on the principles of Universal Design and equal access for all, it is with the new video work MINDESMÆRKE. Created by Caspar Eric in collaboration with artist Luna Scales, the work will be performed in the Social Cinema's new projection cube.

MINDESMÆRKE is a collective video work created by Luna Scales and Caspar Eric. The work is based on their previous work documenting the lives, vulnerability and conditions of people with disabilities in the Danish welfare state, in particular the art project “Memories of Touch” and the documentary call to action “Sorry we are here”, both from 2023.

MINDESMÆRKE lets us on the one hand remember some of the testimonies of people who often do not receive the help from the state that they are entitled to by law. On the other hand, it shows us a bodily care, but also a care that is connected to making the body fit into society. In this sense, MINDESMÆRKE tries to open a space to remember some of the bodies and stories that we too often forget.

When CPH:DOX opens its doors to a brand new Social Cinema, designed based on the principles of Universal Design and equal access for all, it is with the premiere of MINDESMÆRKE. Created by Caspar Eric in collaboration with artist Luna Scales, the work will be performed in Social Cinema’s new projection cube. After the first performance, you can meet the two artists in conversation with feminist activist Emma Holten.
