Opening Party of Charlottenborg: Hyper Expressions!

First time at the rodeo? Join os for a queer jaripeo: a gender expression rodeo at the Opening of Charlottenborg party!

Step into a night inspired by Jaripeo – a modern portrait of queer life surviving and flourishing within one of Mexico’s most masculine traditions. We celebrate the tension between raw strength and vulnerability, between ritual and rebellion, between who you’re expected to be – and who you truly are.

The night features a spectacular Drag Rodeo competition, where courage, attitude, and showmanship matter more than the rules. Expect drag performances and DJs who challenge and re-stage masculinity with sensuality and power. The dance floor becomes our shared ritual – a space where identity, desire, and community merge.

During the night we’ll have live DJ sets by:

          • ¡HARTY!
          • Suzie Cockroach

Come as you are. Come as the one you dream of being. Tonight is your Jaripeo.

The doors for the party open at 20:00, after the screening of ‘Jaripeo’ with Q&A.

          Party pre-sale: 50 kr.
Ticket  for the party at the door: 70 kr.

Remember: Free access to the party for ticket holders to the screening of ‘Jaripeo’ with Q&A in Social Cinema.
