Beyond the War Game: AI, Ethical Dilemmas and Responsibility
Join us in a panel debate about wargaming, ethics and AI, in matters of global security.
As wargaming evolves into a data-driven tool for understanding modern conflict, artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly central role. How are these simulations designed, what data shapes their outcomes, and how can AI be deployed responsibly in military and strategic contexts? This conversation dives into the ethical, governance, and technical challenges of using AI in defense, asking how it can strengthen security without amplifying risk, and how geopolitical structures are shaped by these emerging technologies. Join Daniel Møller Ølgaard, Assistant Professor at the Institute for Military Technology, Royal Danish Defence College; Anna Nabidaidze, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for War Studies and Morten Axel Pedersen, Chief Scientist at the Centre for AI in Society, for a discussion at the intersection of AI, ethics, and global security. The conversation will be moderated by Marwa Hassan, Strategic Advisor at The National Defence Technology Center.
This event is presented in collaboration with DDSA.
This conversation will be in English.
