          VIVA INDEPENDENT FEATURES DOCS

          How do we successfully finance, produce and distribute independent feature documentaries in the age of streaming? Can we set up films so that they benefit the people who make them, the communities featured and society more broadly. Two successful feature doc producers share their experiences making films like THE TERRITORY, THE CAVE, MERKEL, and SUPER/MAN: THE CHRISTOPHER REEVE STORY and their thoughts on how to preserve the success of independent feature docs.

          Sigrid Jonsson Dyekjær

          Producer Sigrid Dyekjær has produced more than 60 documentary films during the last 24 years. She is Oscar nominated in 2020 for the film The Cave, and has won 2 Emmy´s for best producer and 2 Peabody Awards - The Territory and The Cave. This years CPH:DOXs premieres: Lowland Kids and VIKTOR.

          Lizzie Gillett

          Lizzie is an Emmy Winning documentary producer who is Head of Documentary at Misfits Entertainment - best known for the Bafta nominated MCQUEEN. Lizzie’s recent producing credits include SUPER/MAN: THE CHRISTOPHER REEVE STORY, THE TERRITORY, LADY BOSS and MERKEL.
