Håvard Bustnes / Norway, Germany & United Kingdom / 2025 / World Premiere / 95 min
Cynical spy for the asbestos industry or a whistleblower facing a miscarriage of justice? Judge for yourself in a film about deception and manipulation, where one twist leads to another.
Rob Moore has chosen a life of secrets and deception. For five years he has posed as a journalist to gain the trust of activists in their fight against the international asbestos mafia. Meanwhile, he has been working undercover as a spy – for the asbestos industry. When he is exposed, it comes as a shock to the activists.
But Rob refuses to be labeled a cynical fraud. He stubbornly maintains that he was actually a double agent, secretly gathering evidence against his own employers – greedy oligarchs and multinational corporations. Now Rob’s life is in ruins, but he sees an opportunity to regain his credibility.
He persuades two experienced British journalists to tell his story. But as the journalists delve deeper into the shady case, they realize that they themselves are caught in a web of lies and that Rob’s story may hide a threat greater than anyone could have imagined. One twist leads to another in a gripping and dramatic movie about the delicate balance between good and evil.
