And if all the reviews agree on how corny that might sound, they have been just as unanimous on how unusual and almost miraculous an experience the story of Terry and her hummingbird clinic soon turns out to be. Weighing in at just two grams, hummingbirds are nature’s answer to the fairies in a fairy tale, but despite their therapeutic relationship, Terry’s own life is a fairy tale with long and deep shadows. With its stunningly beautiful visuals, ‘Every Little Thing’ is a great film about small creatures and how healing goes both ways.
