              Poetic, musical story about Dounia and her grandparents' life and escape from Aleppo, losing their home and finding a new one.

              Dounia and her father live in the urban city of Aleppo. Dounia’s father loves poetry, especially the story of the princess of Aleppo with the long magical hair. But one day the soldiers come and take him away. Luckily, Dounia has her grandparents and Habibi the canary. Join us in the exciting city of Aleppo, go to the bazaar and buy melon seeds – and come along when Dounia and her family are forced to leave the city due to war. Luckily, they have both poetry and the princess with the long magical hair in their luggage. ‘Dounia and the Princess of Aleppo’ is a film about losing your home and finding a new one.
