          Ralf Bücheler / Germany / 2023 / 102 min

Nature nerd Bjørli Lehrman and guests guide us through a fantastic film about wolves and their return to Europe.

We all know the wolves of fairy tales that roam the deep forests. Ferocious, cunning and cruel. For centuries, the wolf has been portrayed as evil in Europe, but in fact, there were no wolves in Europe at all. In fact, they were extinct. But now they are making a comeback due to nature restoration projects in countries like Denmark and Germany. The filmmakers follow some of the wolves and people who are trying to make room for the wolf in our world. It’s about the biologists at the Lupus Institute, but also about politicians and farmers. There are plenty of cool wolves, scientists and wolf nerds in the film. Note: Contains images of a dead wolf being autopsied.
