Czech festival hit about two ageing twins with revolutionary blood in their veins who have created a world for themselves on a farm outside of society. But now their bond is starting to unravel.
The two Czech twins, Franta and Ondra, have lived together their whole lives on a farm far from society and in the middle of nowhere. Here they wander around like a pair of drunken wizards with their chickens, dogs, cows and cats. One of them lost an arm in an accident at a sawmill. Yet these two free siprits live in a magical world where they can walk around naked, climb trees, lick frogs, smoke silly tobacco and draw on the walls.
The two brothers are like Cain and Abel. But now the revolutionary twins are approaching 60. The hair has disappeared from their heads, their long beards have turned grey, and they argue constantly. And now the otherwise inseparable brothers may also be slowly drifting apart. Franta longs for change and freedom, but Ondra appreciates the familiar, the rooted, the things that have always been, and of course: enormous amounts of alcohol. ‘Better Go Mad in the Wild’ is a film about the bonds of blood and what keeps us together when those bonds begin to dissolve.
