          Olivier Bienaimé & Hervé Bienaimé / Frankrig / 2026 / Verdenspremiere / 91 min

For one day, a class of ninth graders from a small provincial college in Migennes (France), discovered the Centre Pompidou. Some had never been inside a museum, others were discovering Paris for the first time. Behind these first times lie paths where culture seems inaccessible, environments where art seems reserved for others.

How does it feel to see an abstract canvas by Soulages or the colorful flat tints of Rothko when you’ve never set foot in a museum? How do you react to Duchamp’s urinal or a contemporary installation whose meaning escapes you at first glance?

Museum captures these new perspectives and questions the barriers, visible and invisible, that shape our relationship with art. Where do these students come from? How does their environment influence their perception of art? Does culture really belong to everyone? In a society where access to knowledge is still a matter of social origin, Museum questions transmission and inequality.
