          Lene Kamm / Denmark / 2025 / World Premiere / 60 min

A Black woman's journey through her own history becomes a beautiful and redemptive film about finding yourself after a lifetime of searching.

Lene grew up as a Black, adopted woman in a small village in Denmark in the 1960s. In Lene’s family, race was never openly discussed. This left her feeling isolated and silenced in relation to her own experiences. Lene felt the stares and the silent racism, but throughout her life she has chosen to keep her experiences and thoughts to herself. Driven by a desire to understand her origins, she embarks on a journey to connect with her biological family and uncover the stories, silences and unspoken pain that have shaped her life. An exploration of family, identity and belonging that explores how silence can resonate across generations – and the courage it takes to break it.
