              A female student makes a discovery that turns her life upside down in a harrowing and gripping film from the team behind 'Three Identical Strangers'.

              It’s 1995 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. During a feminist studies class, college student Kristi opens her textbook to discover something that turns her world upside down. For as long as she can remember, Kristi has felt different – now she knows why. 

              As she delves into her own history and accesses her medical records, she realizes that what she thought was a unique personal story is actually a far-reaching medical scandal involving thousands of people. She has unknowingly been an unwitting participant in a colossal and deeply controversial psychological experiment of the kind that (hopefully) would never have been conducted today. An experiment with deep roots back in time and with a focus on twins.
