Internship with the UNG:DOX educational program at CPH:DOX
As part of CPH:DOX's educational program, UNG:DOX, you will help tailor this year's film and debate program for the country's secondary schools and elementary schools.
Every year during the CPH:DOX festival, thousands of students flock to cinemas and special venues in Copenhagen and across Denmark to watch documentaries with their class, year group, or entire school. This provides them with an exciting and varied addition to their education. Over 25,000 high school students participated in UNG:DOX at CPH:DOX 2025.
Every year, UNG:DOX puts a lot of work into ongoing collaboration with teachers and school leaders. We select the best subject-relevant documentaries from the overall program and communicate and guide teachers by email, phone, and at meetings on which films make the most sense for them to choose based on their academic needs.
UNG:DOX is also a very versatile department where you will gain experience in many aspects of festival work at once, including selecting subject-relevant documentaries, finding talented speakers, arranging debates with moderators, and running film screenings and debates during CPH:DOX 2026. UNG:DOX is part of CPH:DOX’s program department.
UNG:DOX is looking for an intern who, in collaboration with the rest of the editorial team, can take responsibility for:
- Reviewing and discussing potential films relevant to the subject area.
- Maintaining ongoing contact with numerous partners, arranging meetings, and gathering qualitative knowledge about the needs and circumstances of teachers and students.
- Developing ideas, producing, organizing, and running events, debates, and talks.
- Communication, outreach, and sales: promoting the program to schools across the country and thinking about new opportunities for collaboration.
- Since all communication with schools is in Danish, good Danish language skills are a must.
Send your application and CV to UNG:DOX project manager Amalie Brok at amalie.b@cphdox.dk. We are conducting interviews on an ongoing basis.
Flexible internship period: Start in December or by agreement.
