Read more about the Rules & Regulations to apply to CPH:FORUM.
CPH:FORUM is CPH:DOX’s international financing and co-production event dedicated to facilitating the development and financing of creative and visually strong film projects with international potential, whether they are features, series or new media projects.
The next edition of CPH:FORUM, including CPH:ROUGHCUT and CHANGE, will take place from March 24-27 2025, during the Industry Week (March 23-28) of CPH:DOX 2025.
Reflecting the profile of CPH:DOX, CPH:FORUM is looking for projects within five main focus areas:
- FICTIONONFICTION: Challenging works in the hybrid landscape between fiction and non-fiction
- CINEMA: High-end theatrical feature-length documentaries with international distribution potential.
- F:ACT: Projects bridging the fields of filmmaking, investigative journalism and activism.
- ART: Film projects positioned in the borderland between art and film and screened both within the institution of cinema and that of visual arts
- SCIENCE: Creative documentary film and new media projects on science and technology.
CPH:ROUGHCUT
Part of CPH:FORUM, CPH:ROUGHCUT showcases projects at a rough cut stage, seeking distributors, sales agents, buyers, festival premieres, and other exhibition opportunities.
Note: After 8 successful years, we have now closed down the CPH:WIP platform. Projects that would have normally submitted to CPH:WIP, can now submit to CPH:FORUM.
CHANGE
CHANGE is our development co-production training program in collaboration with IMS and EAVE, featuring documentary projects in development from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
CPH:FORUM (including CPH:ROUGHCUT) has a natural emphasis on Scandinavia and Europe but is open to film projects from independent documentary filmmakers, fiction filmmakers, journalists, activists and visual artists worldwide, seeking financing and international market partners. Projects in any production phase are welcome, regardless of the financing in place. Both experienced and emerging filmmakers are welcome to apply.
Eligible projects must be feature-length films or series (52+ minutes) but projects can also include additional formats like short films, non-linear pieces or installations, etc…
Selection criteria include artistic quality, unique content, subject relevance, international potential and financial feasibility. Projects that have not been presented at any other major international market will be given priority.
Projects submitted to the CPH:DOX 2025 festival programme are not eligible for CPH:FORUM or CPH:ROUGHCUT.
