Tess is a researcher, educator, and consultant, specialized in representation, intersectionality, and inequality. A former Director of Product Ethics at Comcast NBCUniversal, she now works as a consultant with clients across the creative industries, private companies, and NGOs. From sensitivity-readings to tailored consultancies for productions or production companies, Tess studies representation on both a product-, workplace-, and industry-level, with an eye for gender, sexuality, racialization, class, disability, age, and more. She is a leading Danish and international expert on representation in film and media, and her research has been published in international academic journals and books, including 'Women in the International Film Industry: Policy, Practice & Power' and 'Black Film British Cinema'.
