Christine Hagiwara Saab

Christine Hagiwara Saab is a documentary director and producer who works across documentary TV and film. She is British Japanese-Lebanese and is based between Zurich and London. As a director, her short films have been screened at film festivals such as Sheffield Doc/Fest, Aesthetica, Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, Visions du Réel, Encounters Film Festival, Thessaloniki International Film Festival, Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, and London Short Film Festival. Her short film, In The Space You Left (2021), was nominated by the International Documentary Association for the David L. Wolper Award. In 2023, she was selected for Channel 4's prestigious First Cut Pitch and presented at Sheffield Doc/Fest. She has worked extensively in British factual television for broadcasters and streamers such as Channel 4, BBC, and Netflix.
