CPH:WIP

As a part of CPH:FORUM and for the ninth year running, we are presenting a selection of documentary works in progress looking for gap financing or a launch pad for further distribution.

The 2025 edition of CPH:WIP, in addition to its commitment to present strong documentary films from the Nordic region, will for the third time also showcase international documentary projects from all over the world. Each selected title and presenting team will show longer scenes from their upcoming documentary films to a dedicated professional audience followed by tailored by one-to-one meetings with interested buyers, sales agents and festival programmers.

CPH:WIP will take place as part of CPH:FORUM during next year’s CPH:DOX festival, 13-24 March, in Copenhagen.

The event is accessible for CPH:FORUM and INTRO:DOX accredited guests only.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to send an email to forum@cphdox.dk.

ABOUT A HERO

After Dorem Clery supposedly commits suicide in despair over losing his job to a machine, Werner Herzog travels to Getunkirchenburg to investigate his perplexing death. But Herzog, our narrator, is not who he seems, and the film, not what we expect.

"About a Hero" is an adaptation of a script written by a large language model custom trained on Herzog’s body of work. The ironically self-reflective fictional narrative is intertwined with a series of ‘real’ interviews with artists, philosophers and scientists reflecting on the notion of originality, authenticity, immortality and soul in the age of Artificial Intelligence.
