DEBATE: COLONIALISTS IN THE PUBLIC SPHERE?
Adrian Hughes (DR) invites you to a debate when we bring the discussion home to Denmark: Should we have monuments of historical persons who represent values and actions that do not align with today’s ideals? Should monuments of advocates and practitioners of slavery still be displayed (and thus celebrated)? And if not, what should we have instead? Meet artist Jeannette Ehlers, archaeologist Amalie Skovmøller and art historian Mathias Danbolt, when we debate the place of colonialists in the public space.
