Festival Centre / Charlottenborg

We are thrilled to welcome you to Kunsthal Charlottenborg, CPH:DOX’s magnificent Festival Center, a baroque palace, now serving as one of the most important Art Centres in Copenhagen. We are transforming Charlottenborg into an international festival mansion with two cinemas, a VR cinema, exhibitions, talks, parties, social events and much more.

An International Festival Mansion!

The Festival Centre is the ideal place to meet, network, take a break, recharge, experience and enjoy the atmosphere of CPH:DOX 2023. Here you can also find the in-house bar, cafe and restaurant Apollo.

During the festival, Charlottenborg will also be the place where we will host several social events for industry people with a CPH:DOX accreditation. It’s a chance to meet & mingle and have a taste of the great CPH:DOX feeling!

At The Festival Centre, you will also find the Info & Accreditation Office. Here delegates can pick up their accreditation badges.

HOW TO

Tickets – With Festival Accreditation

We have implemented a new ticketing system which will allow you to book tickets on our website by logging in with your Eventival account.

If you want to get your free tickets through your accreditation make sure that you are logged in.
To login, go to https://cphdox.dk/auth/login or use the login button at the top.
make sure you use the Login through Eventival button.
You might need to scroll down a bit, if you access the site from a mobile device.
You can then get access to the screening by showing your badge.
When you are logged in you are also able to easily find your tickets if you navigate to the page of the given film or event, and there you will be able to find a ticket icon next to the schedule.

Once you log in to our website, you can book tickets for our INTER:ACTIVE Symposium or CPH:CONFERENCE sessions and pre-order up to 20 tickets online for regular screenings.

Please note that you always need a ticket and that you can only take out one ticket for each screening. Booking multiple screenings overlapping in time is not possible. You will receive your ticket by email and it will automatically be added to the QR code on your accreditation badge.

If you have used all your 20 pre-order tickets, you can still attend regular screenings upon availability by scanning your accreditation badge at the cinema. 

If you cannot attend a screening you have booked a ticket for, please cancel your ticket by visiting https://cphdox.eventive.org/tickets.

Info & Accreditation Desk

Info & Accreditation Desk will be placed at Charlottenborg. This is where you can pick up your CPH:DOX accreditation badge (from 15- 24 March 2023).

It is also where you can find answers to all of your festival-related questions. During the festival you will find CPH:DOX staff & volunteers ready to assist you, answer questions, advise you on where to go for lunch, how to book tickets, how to get around Copenhagen, inform you on networking opportunities and industry events, etc.

Whatever you need – we will be at your service!

TRANSPORTATION

From the airport to the city centre

Reaching Copenhagen’s city centre from Copenhagen Airport is quick and easy. Public transportation from both Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 are easy to spot. You can choose between taking the metro, train or taxi.

Metro
The metro is located above Terminal 3. All trains go in the same direction from the airport (M2 to Vanløse Station), so you don’t have to worry about catching the wrong metro train. It takes about 15-20 minutes to reach stations Kongens Nytorv and Nørreport Station which are located in the city centre of Copenhagen.

Train
The train station is located underground in Terminal 3. The trains run every 10 minutes during the daytime and will get you to the Copenhagen Central Station (København H) in about 15 minutes. From Copenhagen Central Station you can easily get to many of the cinemas and venues during CPH:DOX.

Taxi
Outside of Terminal 2 and 3, you can choose between several taxi companies which will quickly take you to the centre.

In our Festival Centre you can also find the in-house bar, cafe and restaurant Apollo:

Apollo Bar – is a contemporary restaurant situated on the left side of Kunsthal Charlottenborg’s lower foyer. In an aesthetic and cosy atmosphere, Apollo Bar serves meals from breakfast to dinner, as well as coffee, natural wine and cocktails. A perfect spot to be in good company while reflecting on festival impressions.

Apollo Cafe – during the festival days, Apollo opens a bar and cafe in the upper foyer of Kunsthal Charlottenborg. From early morning until the late evening serving coffee, breakfast, drinks and snacks – to stay or to go. Before, after or in between the screenings and talks stop by for a refreshment.
