Constructed based on the body mapping testimonials of nine women originating from across the world, Local Binaries is a sprawling landscape that visitors can explore via smartphone devices.

Every person you meet holds a world inside them, what does yours look like?This was the question artist Lauren Moffatt asked nine women originating from across the world in order to define the blueprints for the universe inside Local Binaries. Contributors were asked to focus on their inner state, including physiological and psychological sensations, and interpret it as a landscape. They then recounted the scene as if describing physical surroundings, and the elements mentioned were digitised and then interwoven into a sprawling virtual landscape that audiences can interact with via smartphones.
