Take a (cat)walk on the wild side! At an alternative fashion school in the toughest suburb of Paris, the young fashion designers of the future give free rein to their wild creative dreams.
In a notorious Paris suburb lies the alternative design school Casa93. A school that educates the designers and fashion creators of the future. Tuition fees are zero, and it attracts an different group of young designers, all born on the wrong side of the catwalk and who have rarely taken the straight path through life.
They are young people in their early 20s in all colors, sizes and fits. They are social media savvy, have gigantic dreams and want it all, but they have no formal training and must cling to life with pins and needles. For some students, Casa93 is a second chance. For others, it’s their last chance.
Over the course of a year, ‘Casa 93’ follows a class from the moment they start school until it all culminates in a collective fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. It dives deep into the unschooled and unpolished creative whirlwinds of a handful of the class and develops into an emotional journey full of fierce energy, deep trauma, lots of attitude and, not least, very special fashion. This is the most well-dressed pop metamorphosis of the year.
