CPH:Meetings - Grief

Nation-wide screenings of 'The Night We Fell' with a talk about grief.

In 'The Night We Fell', the director Cille Hannibal picked up the camera and started filming her mother, shortly after she lost her husband and companion in a tragic accident. The screening of one of this year's most promising Danish debuts is followed by a debate, which focuses on grief and examines whether there is a need for grief to be diagnosed, in line with, for example, depression. Is there room for grief in our society? Who can help us when we grieve? And how long are we allowed to grieve for? Have social media become the new place, where we grieve together?
Meet, among others, Cille Hannibal (director), Naja Marie Aidt (author) and Ester Holte Kofod (The Culture of Grief).
Panel debate: Katrine Lilleør (debater and priest), Jes Dige (grief expert, Skyggebørn), Klaus Bo (photographer) and Anne Lise Marstrand-Jørgensen (author). Moderated by the journalist Ditte Giese. The event is broadcast to various libraries and cinemas around the country. (The event is held in Danish.)
