This is your opportunity to be part of our team, all the while meeting new people in a fun environment and taking part in making CPH:DOX a reality. In exchange for your free time, you’ll get paid with free tickets, which you can use to see films from this year’s programme.
The next edition of the festival takes place from March 20 – 31, and depending on your wishes and experience, you can take on various types of tasks before and during the festival. Read more about the different departments below. Please note that we expect at least 10 hours of volunteering at CPH:DOX.

You also have the opportunity to become a Superdoxer!

As a Superdoxer, you are eligible to take on assignments requiring more responsibilities and you play a more important role in our team. We expect 30 hours of volunteering, either before or during the festival. In return, you will also receive a letter of reference as well an even bigger amount of free tickets.

Do you want to be in direct contact with some of CPH:DOX’s most important instructors, guests and visitors from the film industry?

The Guest Department is responsible for all the festival’s guests; film directors as well as industry professionals. Right from when they arrive in the airport till they check out again. We take care of their accreditation and accommodation during their stay in Copenhagen. Furthermore, during the festival, we also manage an Information Desk at Kunsthal Charlottenborg and a Guest Desk at our festival hotels to give the guests a warm and personal experience during CPH:DOX.

We are looking for people, who wants to commit a lot of time to help out with this. As a volunteer in Guest Service, you will be given great responsibilities and you will be part of a competent and dynamic team, who are dedicated to offer an exceptional service.

Do you love being at the center and feel comfortable speaking in front of small and big crowds? Would you like to moderate film screenings and debates for CPH: DOX outside of the Copenhagen area?

DOX:ON:TOUR is an initiative launched by CPH:DOX with the purpose of spreading the Copenhagen based documentary film festival to different high schools and local venues in the whole of Sealand and Northern Jutland.

As a volunteer for DOX:ON:TOUR, you will become the face of CPH:DOX. You will be responsible for presenting and introducing these films on behalf of CPH:DOX. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to moderate debates, Q&A’s and other events organised as part of DOX:ON:TOUR.

Do you love to drive, can you laugh at chaos and do you wanna be responsible for CPH:DOX’s guests actually finding their way to the festival?

The Guest Department is responsible for all the festival’s guests; film directors as well as industry professionals. Right from when they arrive in the airport till they check out again.
We are looking for experienced drivers to help our guest team transport our international guests from and to the airport during the festival. All that’s expected of you is good English skills, the ability to smalltalk and good driving skills in the streets of Copenhagen.

Under ‘Other’, we have all our other volunteer tasks, such as the daily operation of our festival’s venues, the logistics behind the festival’s many and widely different events, the distribution of our selected films to the local cinemas, both before and during the festival, as well as the distribution of all our marketing materials. The tasks can also consist of practical physical work in conjunction with the festival’s production.

CPH: DOX is looking for 4-5 super volunteers with building skills in the period from 26 February- 02 March + 05 – 09 March for the construction of an artistic sound-absorbing tunnel for Kunsthal Charlottenborg.

  • You must be able to handle different materials such as lathes, plaster and insulation materials, etc.
  • You must be able to use anything from a circular saw, to a cutting saw, to a screw machine etc.
  • You do not need to be able to work for the whole period – but we want people that wants to invest time and energy on the project – from start to end.
  • It’s a plus if you can read work drawings.

Your work will be rewarded with a letter of reference which may be useful for your future job searching as well as a great amount of free tickets for our ordinary screenings.
